Hotdogs in Singapore

by Jacob Pang on 7/26/2004

I was shooting the breeze with a couple of friends in Singapore and the topic as usual came up about food. It seems that there is indeed no good hotdog store in Singapore. At least that I know of. I have yet have had a decent American hotdog in Singapore.

Is it just me or that Singaporeans love to eat “crappy” hotdogs from Orange Julius and the now defunct Viking Hotdog? Anyway it is interesting to see if any opportunities can arise from this.

I believe that it might be an opportunity in this somewhere.

Hi Jacob, I shared the same sentiments as you with regards
to the hotdogs we have here in Singapore. I myself a 6 year
veteran in the USA and have actually tasted the most
nastiest and best hotdogs available in the mid-west. I
was in Chicago for a long period of time and goodness
they have the best hotdogs there. So you are a Bronco from WMU
Huh? I actually had the chance to visit yr campus
when I was studying in Illinois then. Wonder dat Burbon street
bar is still on campus?? got pretty high there once. So
Hope to hear from you. take care.

Well, I can’t reply if there is no return email address. Anyways it is always nice to hear from like minded people. IAs for Burbon Street, remember the $1 shots? Those were totally nutz!
