There and back again

by Jacob Pang on 6/14/2007

“Let us follow wherever the fates take us, there and back again.”

As I embarked on a whirlwind of trips, visits, meetings and what not over the past few months, I could not find the exact words to describe all the feelings of frustrations, anxiety, intrigues and joy. Strange enough, back in Singapore now, I saw my copy of There and Back again and Tolkien’s words seem to fit right at home.

Thinking back, I think sometimes pushing too hard might not be the best way to move forward. Slowing down and stopping to think about the situation can often lead to more missed opportunities. Besides living out from a suitcase does get to you after a while.

There is after all only so much hotel beds and continental breakfast one can take after all :-P
