I headed off to Batam on a day trip with a friend on Sunday. Having never been there, I was quite surprised to see it decently developed. Batam is part of Indonesia and is an island about 1 hour away from Singapore. The purpose of my trip is to help a friend access the viability of an internet cafe in Batam. Having numerous advantages over Singapore and being quite an untapped market. There is defintely potential in this business there if done right.
